The first of Pokemon Pokopia's three DLC packs arrives today, bringing the cozy life-sim spinoff to a new frontier... the floor of the aquatic abyss.
Okay, that's a bit dramatic, but you get the idea.
The Bubbly Basin DLC has arrived, bringing the titular underwater town to the game, as well as a whole host of other features to go alongside it. I wrote up a post detailing the biggest additions (and totally not rehashing the same dumb joke over and over again) last week which you can check out here, or you can check out the official Nintendo store page to learn more.
That's not all, though, as the free Ver. 2.0.0 update is also available, adding the new Dive ability for free, no paid DLC required! So, even though you need the Expansion Pass to visit Bubbly Basin, you can still explore underwater in the existing areas! There's a bunch of additional, smaller features added as well, which seem like they'll make for an overall smoother Pokopia experience. You can check out the full patch notes, which are pretty lengthy, here.
I'm very much itching to return to this game now that the DLC has begun rolling out, but I don't think I'll be hopping back in right away. I just started Metroid Fusion last night, so I think I'll be focusing on that tonight. But I'll almost certainly be returning to Pokopia soon!
